Self-Acceptance

Where Nothing is Too Hard for the Lord!

SELF-ACCEPTANCE

Psalms 139: 14 – 15

"I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, marvelous are your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frames were not hidden from you, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest part of the earth."

God is the author of our being; our parents were just instruments used by God. We were created under the divine inspection of God. We were created for a special purpose. God had a specific purpose for our lives when He created us. We must seek him to find out what his purpose is for us and then walk in that purpose.

Once we are walking in our purpose, we will find contentment and satisfaction in our walk with the lord. One who has no directions and who does not know his or her purpose is one who is not fulfilled and one who is frustrated. There is such peace and rest in our soul when we find our place in Christ and in life.

There are so many people in society who are walking around feeling unfulfilled. Many have gotten themselves caught up in situations that should have been avoided because they are trying to find themselves. As Christians, it is not enough to give your life to Christ. We must seek to find what God would have us to do in His kingdom. God wants us to be sure of ourselves. I believe that each of us have special gifts and talents that He has given to us. He has not given us these talents and gifts to sit on and not share with others. He knew us before we knew ourselves and it was His decisions to share wonderful gifts and talents with us.

We must remember that when He called Moses, he had a speech impediment, but God was not concerned with his weakness. God knew that Moses had special patience to do a work that He had for him to do. God had a special plan for Moses, from birth. That's why He allowed him to escape death as an infant. Moses was fearfully and wonderfully made. God knew all about his future and Moses sought God to find out what his purpose was for his life. We are all familiar with the story of the children of Israel. God did not make a mistake by calling Moses; He knew exactly what He was doing.

God did not make a mistake when He created us. He knew us while we were yet in our mother’s womb. He knew what we were going to be and everything that we would encounter. God did not make a mistake when He created Eve. He did a great thing because He knew that man was lonely and needed companionship. The enemy always presents himself and tries to destroy the good work that our father does for His children.

This happened in the beginning of time and it is still happening today. Thank God that our father is a God of a second chance. He brings restoration to our lives, and He is merciful. Many of us have difficulties accepting ourselves. Sometimes life has beaten us down because of our failures, heartaches, and pain. This is not the purpose or the plan of the father for us to be wandering around wondering what we are suppose to be doing in life and in our Christian walk. We must release ourselves from all weights that have caused us to lose sight of our purpose. There are a lot of things that are hindering us that are not sins but they are weights. These weights are heavy and burdensome; they hinder our Christian walk and our daily lives. We are a Victorious people. Remember, your life is not and accident; God has a purpose for your life.
